Organic Maple Syrup
How is Organic Maple Syrup different?
In order to bring our best to you, we must adhere to and follow strict organic certification guidelines. These guidelines may assure you that our maple forest is managed in a sustainable way. Also we do not practice monoculture but encourage the growth of all species and preserve wildlife habitat. Besides the preservation of the ecosystem, Organic Certification assures you that only approved cleansers and antifoams are used. We undergo stringent annual inspections to maintain our certification.

When preparing your favorite recipe, substitute ¾ to 1 cup of Maple Syrup (depending on your sweet tooth) for 1 cup of granulated sugar.
Decrease other liquids in your recipe by 2 - 4 tablespoons.
Add ¼ - ½ tsp baking soda for the batter to rise properly.
(Do not add baking soda if your recipe contains buttermilk, sour milk or sour cream)
Decrease oven temperature by 25 degrees. How should Maple Syrup be stored?
Maple syrup and maple products may be stored unopened in a cool dry place. Once opened, the container shold be tightly closed and stored in the refrigerator. To keep larger quantities of maple syrup for up to one year, it may be frozen. Just pack with 1 inch (2.5 cm) of head-space in sealed containers. When frozen, the syrup becomes thick so it is possible to remove only the amount you plan to use at one time. Allow the syrup to thaw before serving so that it returns to a pourable consistency.
